Did you know the City of
Mesquite has a Victims of Crime program that serves the Arizona
Strip? The service area is Mesquite, Bunkerville, MOAPA Valley,
and the Arizona strip. The City of Mesquite has one full time
and two part time Victim Advocates. Our Victim Advocates can now
assist victims of ALL Crimes such as domestic violence, sexual
assault, elder abuse, child abuse, assault, theft, hate crimes,
fraud, DUI incidents, and other crimes againt victims. Victims
can receive assistance with emotional advocacy, temporary and
emergency shelter, transportation, court accompaniment,
assistance with protective orders and victim compensation forms,
emergency room accompaniment, resource referral, and more. If
you have been a victim of crime, please contact our Victim
Advocates to see what they can do for you.

The City of Mesquite
received a grant last year to hire a part time Victim Advocate
to assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.We
were able to provide emergency shelter, transportation,
advocacy, and more to victims of Mesquite. Starting in July, the
City received another grant for a full time Victim Advocate to
serve victims of ALL crimes. We are also expanding our service
area. We would like to reach out to Beaver Dam, Scenic,
Littlefield, and Desert Springs to create awareness about how we
can also assist victims close by. It is a start of the
collaboration, but we do want to offer assistance for any victim
in need.
